Hardware Permissions & Local Backup Responsibility

Camera access is used solely for scanning product barcodes. Bluetooth permission is used solely to pair and print receipts on 58mm/80mm ESC/POS thermal printers. Biometric authentication runs entirely through Android's system BiometricPrompt API.

Merchant Backup Reminder: Because Bengal Bytes stores zero copies of your shop database in the cloud, please export regular local backup archives via NexBiz → Settings → Backup & Restore to protect against lost or damaged phones.

Because no cloud account exists on Bengal Bytes servers, you can permanently wipe all business records on your device at any moment via NexBiz → Settings → Reset Database, or by uninstalling the application.

Commercial Usage Terms (#terms)

Merchants are granted a royalty-free license to run NexBiz for daily point-of-sale billing, stock management, and customer receipts. Please verify local tax/VAT rates configured in your invoice settings before issuing tax receipts.
